Association of International Freight Forwarders of Ukraine joined the Coordination Council for production and logistics issues

EI2The Ukrainian logistics and manufacturing sectors are in a difficult situation. To discuss and coordinate joint actions, develop proposals for the government on the issues identified, create the shortest path from the manufacturer to the consumer of products, the Association of Exporters and Importers "ZED" and the Ukrainian Business and Trade Association (UBTA) conducts the activities of the Coordinating Council on production and logistics issues, which now has 7 powerful profile business associations.

We are pleased to welcome the Association of International Freight Forwarders of Ukraine (AIFU), which has joined the Coordination Council. AIFU announced its accession to the memorandum on June 3 during a meeting of the Council members at the office of the Association of International Road Carriers of Ukraine. The document on cooperation of the associations was officially signed on June 4 in Odessa.

The AIFU signatory was Andrey Skidan, General Director of AIFU, UBTA was represented by Dmitry Los, Chairman of the Board of the Association.

Viktor Berestenko, President of the AIFU, at the meeting of the Council, in his opening remarks, emphasized the importance of joint actions of the Council members to solve the problems facing Ukrainian business: “I would like to appeal to all the signatories of the Memorandum and declare that our activity will not be of a recommendatory nature, but will bring clear results. This will allow us to reduce the burden on business and increase the competitiveness of our country."

EI2Sergiy Svystil, Chairman of the UBTA Coordination Council congratulated AIFU in its ranks and expressed confidence in the growth of the potential of this cooperation format. He expects effective cooperation with all participants in the process and believes that AIFU will be able to make a colossal contribution to the process of overcoming the problems with the lack of permits of European states for international road transport and will promote the recognition of authorized exporters.

AIFU is the national association of the International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations (FIATA). The purpose of their activities is to coordinate the efforts of Ukrainian freight forwarders to solve problems of their professional activities of common interest. The organization numbers 158 transport and forwarding organizations of all forms of ownership.
